Chairman’s Message
I wish you good health and happiness with this message. I am writing to emphasize the commitment of our committee to empower and advocate for the needs of the vibrant and diverse population. Specifically, I want to highlight the crucial role of politics in advancing their interests and concerns.
It is undeniable that political decisions have a significant impact on the economy, especially in these ever-changing times. Our elected leaders implement policies that have far-reaching consequences, extending beyond the political sphere to directly affect the lives of everyday citizens and our economy. As a political action committee, the (ILEF PAC), firmly believes that sound economic policies drive growth, opportunity, and shared prosperity.
When we reflect on the history of our country, we recognize the significant contributions made by Asian Americans to our nation's social, cultural, and economic fabric. However, it is essential to acknowledge that despite these contributions, Asian Americans still face unique challenges, including discrimination, lack of representation, and disparities in resources and opportunities.
To address these challenges, our committee actively engages in policy research, analysis, and advocacy. We collaborate with legislators, industry experts, and community leaders to develop evidence-based proposals that align with our shared vision for a more inclusive society.
We firmly believe that political engagement and advocacy are crucial tools to effect meaningful change and address the disparities faced by the Asian American community. Our committee is dedicated to raising awareness of the issues affecting the community and ensuring their voices are heard and respected in the corridors of power.
As part of our ongoing efforts, we are excited to announce an upcoming panel discussion featuring Asian American political candidates. This event will be held on September 28th, 2023. We invite you to join us for this critical conversation and contribute your participation and valuable insights in shaping the direction and priorities of our committee.
